Chief Ruben L. Gardnerruben.gardner@elizabethtownky.gov Chief Ruben Gardner has been with the Elizabethtown Police since 1970 when he was hired as a patrolman. In 1973 he was assigned the position as detective and in 1974 made the rank of Sergeant. He was promoted to Lieutenant of Investigations in 197. He was appointed Chief of Police of Elizabethtown in 1990. Chief Gardner is a member of the International Chiefs of Police Association, a member of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police where he is the regional vice chair of the area. He is a member of the Kentucky Peace Officers Association where he was a Past State President and is the President of the Kentucky Blue Knights Chapter II , where he has been the president since the chapters founding in 1975.
Deputy Chief Troy S. Dyetroy.dye@elizabethtownky.govDeputy Chief Dye oversees the Patrol Division and the Public Safety Garage of the Elizabethtown Police Department. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Deputy Chief Jack Harris jack.harris@elizabethtownky.govDeputy Chief Harris oversees the Administrative and Records Division of the Elizabethtown Police Department.
Deputy Chief Carl Beecarl.bee@elizabethtownky.govDeputy Chief Bee oversees the Investigations and Communications Divisions of the Elizabethtown Police Department. He is actively involved in the ROCIC Program and has been responsible for developing the Central Kentucky Criminal Activity Share Meeting. Currently held the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Elizabethtown. Sgt. Timothy Clearytim.cleary@elizabethtownky.govSgt. Cleary overseas the Community Service Office and the Computer Services Section. He is a DOCJT Staff Instructor and is one of the Tactics Instructors of the Elizabethtown Police Department. He is also involved in managing the Police Departments Website.
Detective Sgt. Terry Netherlandterry.netherland@elizabethtownky.govOversees the day to day operations of the Criminal Investigation Unit. He is responsible for assigning cases to Patrol units and Investigators, reviews all criminal cases and assigns proper status to each case. He also reviews the progress on all assigned cases and updates the cases status. Sgt. Netherland is responsible for all criminal intelligence collection and dissemination between our department and the Federal, State and Local agencies.
Detective Pete Chytlapete.chytla@elizabethtownky.govDetective Chytla is responsible for all cases assigned to him by Sgt. Netherland. He has attended the following classes investigations, homicide, robbery, and crime scene photography. He is on call one week a month for call out. Some of the cases he investigates are homicide, robberies, forgeries and many other felony cases.

Detective Kelly Slonekelly.slone@elizabethtownky.govDetective Slone is responsible for all cases assigned to her by Sgt. Terry Netherland. She came from the patrol section in September 2003and has specialized in neglect and child abuse cases and attended several courses and conferences in this field.
Detective Clinton Turnerclinton.turner@elizabethtownky.govDetective Clinton Turner is responsible for all cases assigned to him by Sgt. Terry Netherland. He came from the patrol section in June of 2004 where he was a Field Training Officer and he is currently on the Special Response Team.

Sgt. William "Buck" Blandwilliam.bland@elizabethtownky.govSgt. Buck Bland is the second shift supervisor and is the supervisor for the police departments Accident Reconstruction Team and the Honor Guard.
Sgt. Brian Grahambrian.graham@elizabethtownky.govSgt. Brian Graham is a supervisor over second and third shifts. He is our primary firing range instructor.
Sgt. Greg Samarasgreg.samaras@elizabethtownky.govSgt. Greg Samaras is a supervisor over first and second shifts. He is also our safety and workman's compensation coordinator.
Sgt. Jamie Landjamie.land@elizabethtownky.govSgt. Jamie Land is the third shift supervisor. He is the supervisor of the Special Response Team and a member of the Honor Guard.
